Miley Cyrus Keen to Play Carrie Bradshaw

Teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus has expressed her wishes of playing Carrie Bradshaw in the upcoming prequel of “Sex and the City”. The 19 year old Cyrus is 27 years younger than Sarah Jessica Parker, who originally played the role of Carrie in the “Sex and the City” series and the two movies.

The TV prequel, which is called “The Carrie Diaries”, will be aired by the US TV Network CW. This TV series will portray the earlier years of the characters of Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones from the original “Sex and the City”. It does not include the other main characters Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York- played by Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis- as they do not appear in the Candace Bushnell book. According to sources, Miley is very keen to play Bradshaw as she likes the character.

Miley Cyrus, daughter of the famous country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, caught the public eye when she played Miley Stuart/ Hannah Montana in the Disney channel sitcom “Hannah Montana”. Cyrus recorded many songs for the series that became very popular. These songs were released in two albums “Hannah Montana” and “Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus” by the Walt Disney Records. Cyrus started cultivating a grown up image of herself as she released singles like "Party in the U.S.A." and "Can't Be Tamed" which became big hits.

She continued with her acting career as well after the completion of the Disney TV series. Her fans will surely like to see her in the substantial role of Carrie Bradshaw. The singer- actress has not played anything like this in her acting career till now.

Cyrus, who was spotted at the People's Choice Awards with her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, Will face a real challenge if she really bags the title role in the upcoming SATC prequel.
